Part 1

Testing the Failback

After the failover server fails over and becomes the primary, test the failback functionality.

These procedures will completely erase your existing AirWave installation and operating system and data from your server. Any custom scripts, files, and backups MUST be saved to another server.

What occurs when the primary AMP server is back online?

Primary IP = 10.0.0.60



Secondary – Failover AMP IP = 10.0.0.61

What is displayed on the CLI?

How is the issue resolved?

  1. If the primary server’s data is current, accurate, and reliable > backup the device and copy the data to a remote repository

Verification – the nightly backups and watched amps info

SSH into the failover AMP and restore the nightly backup
