6GHz Baseline Test

This is a high-level document where I try to understand how different devices will transfer data and at what data rates. At this time, I have not done a deep dive into the capabilities of the clients. More to come later…

Simple setup:

Mobility Conductor > Core switch > Distribution switch > Mobility Controller > Aruba 655 APs x 2. The SSID is “pure” 6GHz.

Devices:

Google Pixel 6 Pro

Windows 11 Lenovo T480s laptop – Intel Wi-FI 6E AX210 160MHz – Driver version 22.200.0.6

Windows 10 Lenovo T480s laptop – Intel Wi-FI 6E AX210 160MHz – Driver version 22.45.1.1 (I couldn’t get the latest version of the driver to see the 6GHz SSID even after I edited the registry.)

Ubuntu 22.0.4.1 LTS Lenovo T450s laptop – Intel Wi-FI 6E AX210 160MHz

Kali Linux Lenovo T480S Wi-Fi 6 AX210/AX211/AX411 160MHz (rev 1a)

Notes: The APs are in the basement, and there is zero line of sight. The signal has to pass through many walls and stairs. The image below depicts terrible device health and SNR.
